VIDEO: Former Stax Records owner Al Bell discusses Isaac Hayes’ “Hot Buttered Soul” at 50
On March 14, 2019, the Stax Museum hosted a historic event in which Rhodes College’s Dr. Charles Hughes and former Stax Records owner Al Bell played and discussed Isaac Hayes’ industry-changing album Hot Buttered Soul during the year of its 50th anniversary. The event was held in Memphis at Crosstown Arts in Crosstown Concourse and was the inaugural event for Crosstown Arts’ new Green Room Series.
